Two special train services started by North Central Railway between Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh have been stopped. These train services were started from April 1 and their last trip was completed on July 1. Train services were running on a daily basis on the Agra Cantt-Asarwa-Agra Cantt route. On the other hand, weekly train services were available on the Kanpur Central-Asarwa-Kanpur Central route. The train on the Agra Cantt route was especially convenient for the passengers. The train used to reach Asarwa in the afternoon from Himmatnagar and return from Asarwa in the evening. The train used to see good traffic as the time was favourable for passengers. Both these train services provided direct connectivity from Gujarat to major cities of Uttar Pradesh. However, after a period of three months, the services of these special trains have been stopped due to lack of extension.
