Vadodara News: From Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway Rs. 2 arrested with foreign liquor worth Rs 22 lakh

In the Padra diocese of Vadodara district, the police received specific information that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being smuggled in using the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway. On the basis of this information, a team of LCB (Local Crime Branch) has busted this black liquor trade from Padra by setting up an intensive watch. The police have succeeded in nabbing the 2 accused red-handed by conducting a raid.

Rs. 464 bottles worth more than Rs. 6.44 lakh seized

During the raid, the police searched the vehicle and found a large quantity of foreign liquor. The police have seized 464 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands, valued at more than Rs 6.44 lakh. The drugs were being brought by bootleggers by throwing dust in the eyes of the system.

A total of Rs. Goods worth Rs. 22 lakh seized

The Scorpio car was used by the bootleggers to smuggle liquor before Diwali or festivals. In addition to liquor, the police have seized a Scorpio car worth Rs 15 lakh and a total of goods worth Rs 22 lakh, including three mobile phones.

Two major raids of the district LCB in six days and questions on the local police

Let us tell you that in the last 15 days, two major raids have been conducted by the district LCB and foreign liquor worth lakhs of rupees has been seized. Serious questions are being raised about the functioning and inaction of the local Padra police station against this active operation of the LCB, as to how such a huge quantity of liquor entered without the knowledge of the local police.
