Two minors died in a hit-and-run near Palej: Near the Starved Creek Bridge, the innocent man became a morsel in front of the eyes of his grandfather and father, the unidentified driver escaped.

A tragic hit-and-run accident took place near the narrow bridge of Bhukhi Creek near Palej in Bharuch district. The tragic death of 2 minor children in the accident has sparked outrage across the diocese. In front of the eyes of the grandfather and father, 2 innocent children have become the morsel of time and the family has been struck by lightning. Accident while coming from Varedia to Bharuch According to police sources, Bhummal Vardichand Soni along with his son Alpesh (age 6) and grandsons Manthan (age 6) and Krishna Kumar (age 14) were going from Varedia village to his residence in Bharuch on a motorcycle (number GJ-16-EB-5068). In the meantime, the motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle that was speeding and recklessly from behind near the narrow bridge of Hunger Bay. Two children died on the spot The accident was so horrific that all four people riding the bike fell on the road. Manthan and Krishnakumar died on the spot after they were hit by the tyres of an unknown heavy vehicle. Alpesh, who was riding the bike, sustained serious injuries on his legs. Apart from this, Bhummal also sustained minor injuries on the body and both of them were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. Unidentified driver absconding The unidentified driver fled the spot with his vehicle after the accident occurred. As soon as the incident was reported, a convoy of Palej police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem and took legal action. The Palej police have registered a case in the matter and have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding motorist.
