Piyush Mishra takes a dig at Naseeruddin Shah again: Asks piercing questions about Captain Smit Mosquito and silence on LPU incident; Lyricist gets angry as he joins CJP protest

The Kokroch Janata Party (CJP) staged a protest at Mumbai's Shivaji Park demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Several celebrities, including veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and musician Vishal Dadlani, joined the protest. Meanwhile, actor, singer and lyricist Piyush Mishra questioned Naseeruddin Shah's meeting with Abhijeet Deepak and questioned his silence on other issues of the country. He also demanded praise for Gujarati pilot Smit Mosquito, who saved the lives of 170 passengers on a Dubai flight, and a statement on the incident at Lovely Professional University (LPU). Questioning Naseeruddin Shah's silence on other issues of the country, Piyush said, "Now I will personally respond to every statement made by Naseer sahib." 'Praise the life saved in the plane crash' In his social media video, Piyush Mishra told Naseeruddin Shah that he is an old acquaintance. Piyush recently referred to the averted accident on Flydubai Flight 1073. He said, "A man named Smit Mosquito has saved the lives of 170 people by showing bravery. Naseer sahib should also comment on the incident and congratulate the brave man." Piyush Mishra also raised the issue of Lovely Professional University (LPU) demanding condolence over the LPU incident. He said that there was a scuffle and ruckus in police action with the students. "Naseeruddin Shah had said that he has learnt from these children as much as he did not learn in the National School of Drama (NSD) and FTII," Piyush said. Naseer sahib should also message and express his condolences." In the video, Piyush Mishra referred to the help sought during the Jharkhand student movement. He said that when he sought help from Naseer sahib for Jharkhand, he sent the nazm of a Pakistani poet. "The people there wanted flour, dal, roti, litti and rice, not any shire's nazm. He didn't want any pizza or burger." Piyush Mishra told Naseeruddin Shah in clear terms, "Now whenever he makes a public statement, he will definitely get a reply from Piyush Mishra." The controversy between Naseeruddin Shah and Piyush Mishra is not new, even in the Jantar Mantar student movement. Earlier, Naseeruddin Shah had questioned the silence of Bollywood celebrities during the NEET protest held in Delhi. Piyush Mishra reached the Jharkhand protest and expressed his displeasure over a statement made by Naseeruddin Shah and took a jibe at him. He also questioned the silence of Naseeruddin Shah and other celebs. Piyush Mishra, who participated in the protest in Jharkhand, said, "Naseeruddin Shah sahib, you said one thing when the celebs did not say anything on the Kokroch Janata Party protest that those who have bones in their mouths will not speak. Sorry, I want to ask you with all due respect, which dogs are they at this time who have a bone in their mouth." Talking about the silence of celebrities on the Kokroch Janata Party protests, Naseeruddin Shah told The Wire, "When the soul of the actors is awakened, they will speak." Referring to a proverb, he said, "A dog who has a bone in his mouth cannot bark. As soon as a bone falls from his mouth or breaks a tooth, he will start barking." 'It's better to be a dog than a fox like Naseeruddin Shah': Kangana Ranaut backs veteran actor Piyush Mishra Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has targeted veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. In a social media post, Kangana called Naseeruddin Shah a 'fox' and wrote, "He eats this country, but his neighbour fights for the country." Read the full story...
