Mega combing operation by police in Valsad: Efforts to maintain law and order, control anti-social elements

The Valsad district police conducted a mega combing operation to maintain law and order and strictly curb anti-social elements. The action was taken as part of a precautionary measure in the wake of the car blast incident that took place in Delhi. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Valsad district superintendent of police Yuvrajsinh Jadeja. DySP of Valsad division A.K. Verma and DySP of Vapi division. Under the guidance of BN Dave and led by LCB PI Utsav Barot, various teams of the district police checked different areas. As part of the operation, special vehicle checking, patrolling in coastal areas and fishermen's meetings were organized in Kaprada, Bhilad, Umargam, Marine, Dungri, Valsad Rural, Valsad City, Vapi Town and Dungra police station areas. Intensive checking of vehicles plying especially in the inter-state border areas like Kaprada and Bhilad was carried out. A total of 26 officers and 162 police personnel from all police stations in the district were divided into teams. During the course of the operation, various offences and violators of rules were dealt with as follows: A total of 150 cases were registered under the Act. A fine of Rs 15,500 was levied. 51 cases were registered under BNS Section 223 (Tenant, CCTV), 13 cases under BNS Section 281 and several cases under BNS Section 285. There were 18 cases under the Prohibition Act and 112 under the B-roll. Apart from this, 8 fishermen's meetings were also held. This combing operation has strengthened the law and order situation and the police have been successful in curbing anti-social activities. Constant patrolling, checking and protective measures are being taken by the Valsad District Police with a people-oriented approach so that the citizens of the district can live in a peaceful and safe environment.
