Frequent leakage in the water pipeline passing by the main canal near Juj village in Vansda taluka has increased the resentment among the villagers and farmers. Locals say that the water supply department has been represented several times, but instead of finding a permanent solution, temporary repairs are being made. The quality of the work has been questioned as the leakage has occurred again within a few hours after the recent repairs. Due to this, pedestrians, motorists and farmers are facing difficulties in commuting. Locals say that on the one hand, efforts are being made to save water, while on the other hand, water from the main pipeline is being wasted. In the meantime, the water supply department is working to lay new pipelines in every village under the bulkline scheme. After heavy rains, questions have also been raised about the quality of work where the pipes appear to be out of the ground. Locals allege that in some places, the required depth and standards have not been followed, so the pipes are coming out after the rains. The villagers demand that the problem of frequent leakage should be solved permanently. The road washed away by the leakage should be repaired immediately. The quality of the work of the bulkline project should be inspected at the highest level. There is also a demand to take action against the officials and contractors responsible if negligence is found. Despite repeated representations, the problem persists, and there is a debate among the locals on whether to investigate or not.
