Manjalpur: Police lodge complaint against man who threatened to 'pick up' his wife over pani puri money in Manjalpur

A complaint has been lodged in connection with a scuffle that started in the Manjalpur area of Vadodara city. The entire matter reached the police station after the complainant threatened the woman in public. A written complaint has been lodged at the police station by Payalben Naitikbhai Patel (28), a resident of Haridham Flats in Manjalpur area and a resident of the original Shivam Flats. Disputes over Pani Puri money The incident started with a quarrel with Lokesh Sharma over pani puri money in Pujiba Nagar near Alwanaka. The matter was reported to the complainant by her husband over phone. Later, in the evening, the complainant woman's elder brother received a call and he said that Lokesh Sharma, Bala Iyer, Nilesh Kahar, Nagesh Kahar, Uttambhai, Babubhai, Prashant Panchal, Raja Sharma and two other persons had come to his house to ask Naitik. These men stood outside the house and created a ruckus by hurling filthy abuses. Provocative remarks in public The matter did not stop there, but at around ten o'clock in the night, when the complainant was going towards his house from Manjalpur Saraswati Chowk, Lokesh Sharma, Bala Iyer and Rakesh Kahar were sitting at Saraswati Chowk. Lokesh Sharma made provocative remarks in public in front of other men after seeing Payalben while passing by. Implicit threat to take away wife Lokesh Sharma said, "This is the wife of Naitik Patel, wherever she goes, her husband will be there and if she finds her husband, she will take him away." Panicked by this threat, the complainant woman immediately fled from the spot and reached the police station in an atmosphere of fear and lodged a complaint against all the men. A complaint has been registered at the Manjalpur police station and further investigation is underway. The accused, Lokesh Sharma, has been found to have posted numerous photos with a gym operator and political leaders on social media. The police have taken action on the basis of the woman's complaint and further investigation is underway.
