'NRC should be implemented across the country', RSS raised demand amid uproar over SIR

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has once again raised the demand for the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the country. Amid the ruckus over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the debate on NRC may start.

RSS publicity chief Sunil Ambekar has said that the identity of citizens is very important for the unity, integrity and security of the country. That is why NRC should be implemented.

Citizens Identification Required

Ambekar said, 'It is important to identify who is an Indian citizen and who is not. If there is an objection in any matter related to citizenship, then there is a legal system to solve it. A solution can also be found through the courts."

SIR

Ambekar supported the SIR. "It is also necessary to identify people in the country who have been wrongly included in the voter list," he said. "India has a long history of population change. The country has its own cultural identity and this issue is related to population balance."

Significantly, the opposition is constantly surrounding the government on the issue of SIR. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has also come into controversies. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has been accused of irregularities. The Congress has called SIR wrong. The opposition has also demanded the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also accused the BJP of vote theft. He has also surrounded the Bharatiya Janata Party on this matter.
