Salman Khan slashed Rs 50 crore for working with South filmmakers: For the sake of friendship, he agreed to charge only 60% of the fees for the film 'SVC63'

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly fixed a fee of Rs 70 crore for the upcoming film 'SVC63' directed by South director Vamsi Peddipally. According to the Free Press Journal, Salman Khan usually charges Rs 120 crore or more for a film. In such a case, this amount is said to be about 60% of its normal fee. The report quoted a source as saying that Salman's old friend Rafi Qazi is working as a mediator in the project. His name will also be included in the producers of the film. Due to this friendship, Salman has agreed to reduce his upfront fees. However, the source did not clarify whether Salman Khan will also get a share of the film's profits in the deal. For the past several years, there have been rumors of such a system in his films. Notably, Salman is currently shooting for the film 'SVC63'. Directed by Vamshi Peddipally, the action film is being produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. South star Nayanthara will be sharing the screen with Salman for the first time in the film. The film will be released on Eid 2027. According to reports, Salman Khan has been involved in most of the films since 'Dabangg' (2010). 'Dabangg' was produced by his brother Arbaaz Khan, while 'Bodyguard' (2011) was produced by his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri. His home banner SKF made a presence in many of the subsequent films. At the same time, even while working with outside producers, he often held a stake in the IPR or OTT and satellite rights of the film. The report claims that since 2010, the value of OTT and satellite rights of its films has been around Rs 120 crore to Rs 140 crore. The report also stated that the YRF offered Salman Khan better rules than other actors in films like 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012), 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017) and 'Tiger 3' (2023), with Shah Rukh Khan also being shown as an exception. According to the report, Salman Khan has done cameos and special roles for his friends on many occasions without charging any fee. This includes Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh's film 'Raja Shivaji'. Ajay Devgn had earlier said that he had given a cheque to Salman for his appearance in the song 'Po Po' from 'Son of Sardaar' (2012), but Salman returned the cheque saying, "You are a friend. I don't take money from friends."
