Vadodara Rain Update: Schools and colleges closed on August 1, district collector orders in the wake of rain red alert

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rains in Vadodara city and district for the next 24 hours. Following the forecast of Meghraja's tumultuous innings, the system has been completely put into alert mode and citizens have also been urged to take necessary precautions.

Collector orders closure of all educational institutions

Vadodara District Collector has taken an important decision in view of the red alert of rain and the severe situation in the next 24 hours. Giving priority to the safety of the students, an official order has been issued to close all educational institutions, including primary, secondary schools and colleges, in Vadodara tomorrow.

Precautionary measures for safety of students

The decision has been taken in view of the possibility of waterlogging on roads and disruption of traffic due to heavy rains, so that small children and students do not face any problem. Parents have also been appealed to avoid unnecessary ventilation and follow instructions being issued by the local administration.
