The state-level football training camp for visually impaired players organized by Setu Trust and Blind Sports Association of Gujarat concluded at Vallabh Vidyanagar. The occasion also marked the fifth foundation day of Setu Trust.
The camp was organised from 1st May to 11th May 2026 at CVM Shastri Maidan, Vallabh Vidyanagar in association with Charutar Vidya Mandal and Jeevan Charitable Trust. More than 50 visually impaired players participated. Charutar Vidya Mandal provided free accommodation and grounds for the players. During the camp, the visually impaired players were trained and guided by international coaches and referees Daniel and Manjeet. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by the Provost of Charutar Vidyamandal University. Inderjeetbhai Patel was the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by District Education Officer Kaminiben Trivedi, Physical Instructor of Semcom College Krunalbhai Shah, Dr. Ronak Shodhan, Dr. Ekta Shah, President of Blind Sports Association of Gujarat, Dipaliben Rathi and Secretary Kalpeshbhai Trivedi were present on the occasion. Smt. Sudhaben Patel, Founder and General Secretary of Setu Trust, Narendrabhai Upadhyay, Joint Secretary, Chiragbhai Patel, Treasurer, Radhaben Patel, Rakhiben Shah and Girishbhai Patel, Trustees Radhaben Patel, Rakhiben Shah and Girishbhai Patel as well as Chairman of Setu Yuva Group Vandan Kalthia and members of the Yuva Group made significant contribution to the event. To make this entire camp a success, B. N. Students from the Department of Physiotherapy at Patel Institute of Paramedics, Anand also enthusiastically cooperated.
