50,000 devotees will be present at the riverfront to celebrate the 93rd Pragatya Mahotsav of Gurudev Bapji.

A supernatural and divine atmosphere is going to be created at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad today. The 93rd Pragatya Mahotsav of Gurudev Param Pujya Bapji, the founder of SMVS Swaminarayan Sanstha, is being celebrated. This grand festival took the form of a spiritual festival on the banks of Sabarmati, in which thousands of devotees gathered. Mahasamhan of over 50,000 devotees The festival, which will be held from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm, will be attended by devotees not only from Gujarat or India but also from abroad. The life and works of Gurudev Bapa shall be commemorated in the presence of a congregation of more than 50,000 devotees. The sprawling complex built on the riverfront is adorned with divinity and grandeur, making it a centre of attraction for devotees. Satya Sankalp Dasji Swamy and the inspiring presence of the Chief Minister To add to the dignity of the festival, the present Guruji of SMVS, Satya Sankalp Dasji Swami, will offer blessings. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees to take advantage of his divine darshan. Besides, the Chief Minister of the state will also be present on the occasion to express his gratitude to Gurudev Bapji. The presence of political and social leaders will make the festival more dignified. Cultural Presentation on the Theme of 'An Exemplary Architect' The main attraction of today's special program is its theme. Various programmes will be presented based on the theme "An Exemplary Sculptor on the Banks of Sabarmati". The theme will give an overview of the ideal character of Gurudev Bapji by moulding the society and the youth on the spiritual path. The Pragatya Mahotsav will create a devotional atmosphere through bhajans, tunes and motivational discourses. Preparedness and security arrangements The preparations that have been going on for the last several days are now complete. Adequate seating arrangements, parking and basic amenities for devotees have been taken care of in the vast grounds of the riverfront. A large team of volunteers is deployed to maintain order. The devotional melody echoing with the calm flow of the Sabarmati became a memorable souvenir for the people of Ahmedabad.
