According to media reports, the police had earlier received information that the accused was trying to harm his mother. When the police reached the house, the accused snatched the M4 rifle from the police officer and fled towards a nearby school campus, where he opened fire. "The attacker has been taken into custody and all hostages have been released," a police official told Reuters.
