Careful, processed food and preservatives may increase the risk of cancer, study reveals

Excessive consumption of potassium sorbate can increase the risk of overall cancer by 14 per cent and the risk of breast cancer by 26 per cent. Sulfites increase the overall risk of cancer by 12 percent. Sodium nitrite increases the risk of prostate cancer by 32 percent. Consumption of potassium nitrate and acetic acid was associated with both overall cancer and breast cancer<>
