Trump backs India-Middle East-Europe Corridor, calls for energy routes away from Iran amid West Asia war

Speaking during a meeting with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Trump said recent attacks involving commercial shipping had underlined the need to move the region's energy infrastructure away from what he described as Iranian checkpoints.
