Two persons from Jamnagar district have been booked under the PIT NDPS Act and sent to jails in Ahmedabad and Bhuj. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Nirlipta Rai and Superintendent of Police Dr. Dr. Ravi Mohan Saini, Secretary, Department of Personnel for Prevention of Repeat Offences under the NDPS Act along with cases related to illegal sale and transportation of narcotic substances in the city and district gave necessary instructions and guidance to prepare a proposal under the PI NDPS Act. Accordingly, SOG in-charge PI V.B. Choudhary, police sub-inspector L.M. Zar, police sub-inspector A.V. Kher and the SOG team were present on the occasion. Javed Kasambhai Jam (R. Gayatrinagar, Dhrol) and Rizwan Mohammadbhai Koreja (R. Setawad, Jamnagar) were involved in the offences under the Act and submitted a proposal to the Director General of Police (DGP) Crime-Gandhinagar through the Superintendent of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police Ahmedabad and Bhuj Central Jail have been handed over to him. Earlier, four men of the twins were arrested
About a month ago, the Jamnagar police had filed a proposal under the PIT NDPS Act against four twins involved in NDPS related crimes.
