Umargam Mamlatdar commits suicide by dropping off train: Guiding people not to commit suicide from public forums; They were busy day and night in the election work

Dalpatbhai Chhotubhai, the Mamlatdar of Umargam in Valsad district, took his own life by jumping in front of a speeding train at Umargam railway station last night. The heart-wrenching incident took place around 23:40 am. It is to be noted that the deceased officer was busy day and night in the complex affairs of the upcoming local body elections. He jumped to his death for unknown reasons in front of a train heading towards Sutar at the northern end of the railway station. The mutilated body of Dalpatbhai was found by a team of GRP (Government Railway Police) in the middle of pole numbers 14 and 16 of railway kilometer number 144. The officer's body was cut into pieces when the train hit him terribly. Proposal to record statements The exact and official reason behind the final step such as suicide is still intact. The GRP team reached the spot and took possession of the body and completed the postmortem process. At present, the police are planning to record the statements of the family members so that the mystery behind the suicide can be lifted.
