Vadodara Bhayli Gangrape Case: The court has given a historic verdict in the Vadodara Bhayli gang rape case. The Special POCSO Court in Vadodara today sentenced all the five accused to life imprisonment after convicting them. Sessions Judge C. M. Pawar has also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on all the five convicts along with life imprisonment.
The accused were brought to court amid tight police security
All the accused were brought to the court with tight police security from the Central Jail to prevent any untoward incident from taking place during the trial. In this case, sharp representations were made by the prosecution for the death sentence of the accused or life imprisonment till the last breath. A huge chargesheet of 6,000 pages was submitted by the police administration in this case.

Notably, just 17 days after the incident of gang rape, the police submitted a chargesheet of around 6,000 pages in the POCSO court. The chargesheet included statements of nearly 100 witnesses, evidence including FSL and medical reports, DNA samples and CCTV.

The incident took place on October 4, 2024 (second Norte). The 16-year-old girl was returning after playing garba with her friend. At that time, 5 miscreants on two motorcycles came to a secluded place in Bhaili. They held the minor's friend hostage and gang-raped the minor.
The five convicts in the case and their roles:
- Main accused (gang rapist): Munna Abbas Banjara, Mumtaz alias Aftab Banjara and Shahrukh Banjara. The three men gang-raped the minor in a secluded place.
- Accused who cooperated: Saif Ali Banjara and Ajmal Banjara. Both the accused initially physically molested the minor. The other three accused then held the minor's friend to prevent him from protesting while he was committing the rape.
