Citizens of Vadodara are in trouble, the wheels of 160 city buses have stopped from today after the contract ends, now only the support of e-buses

Big news has come out about the public life and public transport of Vadodara. The city bus service in Vadodara city has come to a complete standstill from today. 

Vinayak Logistics' contract terminated 

The wheels of all the buses have stopped from today after the contract of the bus operator Vinayak Logistics expired and the contract was not renewed by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. This clumsy plan of the municipality has created a major travel anxiety for more than 25 lakh citizens of the city.

The municipality has decided not to renew the contract.

According to the information received, the contract of Vinayak Logistics Company, which operates the city bus service in Vadodara, was only till June 30. Despite the expiry of the contract, the Vadodara Corporation did not take any firm decision on extending its term in time or creating an alternative arrangement. 

160 buses will not run from today

As a result, the bus service has been discontinued by the operator as soon as the contract ends. As many as 160 city buses plying on different routes of the city are seen parked at the depot itself.

Rickshaw pullers

With the closure of city buses, employees, workers and students going to school and college are in great trouble. Rickshaw drivers have been forced to charge fares arbitrarily. 

Only 30 e-buses now depend on 

At present, only about 30 e-buses are operational for the residents of Vadodara, on which the transport system of the entire city will now be relied upon. However, for such a big city, only 30 buses will prove to be cumin in the mouth of a camel. There is anger among the public as to why the municipality did not plan properly in this regard in advance.
