With the onset of the current monsoon season, most of the roads in the city have been washed away on a large scale as well as numerous potholes, while the Vadodara Corporation has now started constructing an RCC road to get rid of the recurring back-breaking potholes in the city in the coming years. Additional City Engineer of Vadodara Corporation and Executive Engineer of Road Project Branch Dharmik Dave said that as part of the long-term plan by the Vadodara Corporation to provide relief to the citizens and not to cause minor wastage, the Corporation has started constructing RCC roads in the areas of the city where excess water is filled in the monsoon. At present, work is underway to construct an approximately 2 km RCC road from Vaikunth Char Road to Shukan Heights at a cost of Rs. 6 crore in the eastern region. Plans are also made to ensure that the road is not damaged.
He added that earlier the road was flooded due to which people had to face a lot of problems. Therefore, it was decided by the corporation to make this road an RCC. As part of which the work of drainage, water, etc. on this road has been completed before the work of the road. However, in the coming time, it has also been planned not to damage the drainage or water line or the road due to any reason. Thus, it has been started to build RCC Road with all kinds of planning. Construction of RCC road started in a phased manner
It was further reported that after the monsoon, an approximately 2 km long RCC road of 18 meters has also been planned to be constructed from Gajrawadi Idgah Maidan, Ramnath Crematorium Road to Patel Estate Dabhoi Road in the shape of L. It may be recalled that earlier a half-kilometre RCC road was constructed on the road leading to D Mart from Gajarwadi Char Road. After the success of which, the corporation has started constructing RCC road in a phased manner. Expenses incurred on asphalt roads per year will also be reduced
He said that the Vadodara Corporation will now conduct a survey of the low-lying areas which are getting more water in the current monsoon. In the coming time, it will be planned to build an RCC road. As a result, the people of Vadodara city will get a big relief. At the same time, the expenses incurred on the asphalt road per year of the corporation will also be reduced.
