Vadodara's Nagarwada New Land dispute over DJ playing in Matkiphod program
The atmosphere became tense when a dispute suddenly erupted during the Matkiphod event held on the occasion of Janmashtami at the new land Golvad in the Nagarwada area of Vadodara city. The clash started over a minor issue like playing a DJ during the Matkiphod event. As the situation deteriorated in no time, an atmosphere of chaos was created in the entire area due to clashes between the local residents and the police.
A scuffle broke out with the police who went to stop the DJ
During the event, a police convoy reached the spot to stop the DJ for violating the rules. However, the organizers and local youths raised strong objections when the police tried to stop the DJ amid the festive atmosphere. During this time, there was a general clash and scuffle between the police and the public present at the spot. The police detained some local youths from the spot to control the situation.
Anger among the people against the work of the police
As soon as the youths were detained by the police, there was a lot of anger among the local residents and the disgruntled organisers. A large crowd of angry people immediately rushed to the Karelibaug police station and gathered in the police station premises to protest. The police took legal action against the detained youths and brought the situation under control by arranging additional police force in the area.
