Driver rescued after cutting cabin: Fire brigade rescued driver after he rammed into the back of a truck on the Porbridge on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway

A horrific accident took place on the Pora Bridge on the National Highway near Vadodara city late yesterday (October 5). There was a collision between two large trucks. The driver of a truck was trapped in the cabin of the truck due to the accident. Teams of Vadodara Fire Brigade and local police rushed to the spot and carried out a rescue operation. After hours of hard work the injured driver was pulled out of the cabin and rushed to a nearby hospital. However, with the help of sophisticated equipment, the fire brigade pulled out the driver and sent him to the hospital for treatment. So we immediately left the Badamdi Bagh fire station and pulled the driver out of the truck safely. The driver was taken to the hospital with a leg injury. They further said that the rescue has a hydraulic power pack. A hydraulic ram jack, a hydraulic cutter was used and the driver was removed by cutting the body of the truck. The driver survived, he sustained leg injuries and has been sent to the hospital.
