There is no stoppage for long-distance trains at the railway station at Chandod Mandwa Sim. It is necessary to allocate more time in the morning and evening during the day so that the timings of the MEMU train are convenient for students, traders and working people. The old railway station was located near the police station at Teerthdham Chandod. It had a glorious past. The train used to run more than four times a day. The labourers used to get up and down from work on their way to and from the fields to the sound of the whistle of the car. The old bus stand of Chandod was considered to be the main hub of business and employment. Early morning and evening, traders used to go to the district taluka headquarters. Devotees used to come to the banks of the Narmada for rituals. With the change of time, ST buses were started. And private vehicles were started. As the speed of trains was less than the speed of vehicles, the consumption decreased. After that, the broad gauge line was upgraded in place of narrow gauge.
