Apart from this, people are also troubled by overflowing drains in the Tandalja area. Sewage water has overflowed on the roads. The stench spreads throughout the area. Apart from this, people are getting sick due to mosquitoes releasing sewage water into the nearby pond. Despite all these problems, not a single BJP corporator is moving in the area, according to locals. At the same time, the residents of the vicinity are worried about the release of sewage water in the Gotri area. 'Breakfast and water are served in elections, then no leader comes' Amedaben Qureshi, a local resident of Tandalja area, said, "Our area gets water only for half an hour. The water gets dirty for 20 minutes. What to fill and use in 10 minutes. Poor people live here. Someone drives an auto-rickshaw or someone else does a lot of odd jobs to run the household. Our demand is that a new water pipeline be laid in our Garasia fence. There is no leader to be seen here. No one comes here to see. They come when they need votes in elections, they get snacks and water during elections and leave. Then he sits on a chair to earn money. These people are just trying to make money. People are sick at home. Rizwan Qureshi, a local resident, said, "There is a sister in our house. We drink such dirty water. So we're getting sick. All we want is clean water. People voted in large numbers, but the basic needs of the people could not be met. Crores of rupees were spent in the name of beautification of Vasna Lake, but the beautification is visible only on paper. There are crocodiles in the Vasna lake, so fencing should be done around the lake so that people do not fall prey to it. We have removed the water hyacinth from the Congress proposal, but the filth remains. There is a school nearby. If children fall into a pond while playing, who will be responsible? He further said that the BJP makes tall promises. They run campaigns in the name of cleanliness. It's just a photo session. There will hardly be a road in the city where the road is not dug. This is a policy of corruption. In the city, only 2 to 4 inches of rain enters the houses and floods. These people have only made empty promises and indulged in corruption. They further said that the corporation is talking about charging Rs 5 to Rs 10 for people walking around the lake, but no one provides any facility. Sewage water is being discharged into Gotri Lake. People come to the lake to improve their health, but people's health is deteriorating. We are treated unfairly in the work of the paver block - Taruben Taruben Pandya, a resident of Gotri area, said, "We live in the Gotri area. We have not laid paver blocks in our Ayodhya city. We are being treated unfairly. The water is scarce in our place. Drains overflow. The roads are broken. Here the gotri breaks the back and accidents take place on the way to the water tank. The BJP doesn't listen to us. Rajeshwariben said, "We have a foul smell of water. We have made representations many times but no one is listening. Corporators come and go. They come only to take votes. If there is an event, there is cleanliness, but there is filth. There is only drama in the name of cleanliness. Resident Manishaben said that water enters the house during the monsoon. Things in the house also get spoilt. We have made representations several times but no action is taken. Corporators from our area don't even come here to see our problems. Business halved due to bad roads: Shopkeeper Jagdish Bhatia, a trader from Gotri area, said that the corporation had made potholes on the road, due to which the bikers fell into it. In addition, our businesses have collapsed. I pay Rs 12,000 as rent for this shop, but I don't have a business of even Rs 6,000. God only knows how we live. We've also had two meals a day. There is no money to pay light bills and tax bills. The work has been going on for more than 2 months. If the work is completed soon, we can run our business. A lot of development work has been done in my area: Nitin Donga Former BJP corporator Nitin Donga said, "In the last 5 years, a lot of work has been done in my area. In which two big water tanks have been built in Bhayali area at a cost of Rs 32 crore. The work of laying new drainage pipelines up to 1600 meters in diameter is currently underway to improve drainage facilities. The new roads have been constructed at a cost of about ₹20 crore for a total of 5 main roads including Lalguru Circle to Priya Talkies, Gotri Main Road and Vasna Main Road. In the newly developed area like Bhayali, rain channels have been constructed at a cost of more than 27 crores in the last one year alone to deal with waterlogging.
