Dharoi Dam: While parts of north and south Gujarat have been receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall for the past few days, rivers and rivulets and dams have overflowed. The water level from Dharoi dam has reached 618 feet at 8 pm today (September 5), with an alarming level of 622 feet. At 10 pm, 25,000 cusecs of water from the dam was released into the Sabarmati river. Six districts, including Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, have been put on alert. The administration has instructed people to move to safer places.
