Food Department Checking: Notices issued to 6 firms of Toral Park in Rajkot, samples of veg mastani handi sabzi and sauce were taken from Fan's Backyard Kitchen

The food department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation conducted checks on food traders in different areas of the city. Notices were issued to several shops. And food samples were also taken. The food department had issued notices to 6 firms of Toral Park in Rajkot. Samples of veg mastani handi sabzi and sauce were taken from Fan's Backyard Kitchen and sent to the laboratory. According to the information received, the food department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation has issued notices to six firms located on Toral Park Main Road during surveillance checking. These firms were found to have deficiencies in terms of hygienic conditions, proper storage and licensing. Details of the firms to which the notice was issued: Kishan Dairy: Notice for lack of proper storage and license. Umiyaji Gogli Bhajia: Notice on Hygienic Condition and License. Patel Paan & Cold Drinks: Notice for lack of license. Om Provision Store: Notice regarding proper storage and licence. K.D Pan Cold Drinks: Notice for lack of license. Khetlapa Pan T: Notice on Hygienic Condition and License. Apart from this, a total of 23 traders were checked in the Gayatrinagar Main Road area by the team of the Food Department along with the FSW van. In the meantime, a total of five businessmen were instructed to obtain licenses. In addition, samples of 19 food items were tested on the spot. The firms that have been instructed to get the licence include Dharti Paratha House, Radhekrishna Farsan, Somnath General Stores, Dharti Anaj Bhandar and Somnath Traders. Apart from this, 18 other firms were also examined. Two samples of food items have been taken by the Food Department under the Food Safety Standards Act, 2006. The samples were taken from Fan's Backyard Kitchen, Nana Mawa Main Road, Rajkot. Samples of MAGGI RICH TOMATO SAUCE (190 G PKD) and Veg Mastani Handi sabzi (prepared-loose) were sent to the laboratory for further testing. And further action will be taken based on its findings.
