Retired soldiers in Surendranagar have submitted a memorandum to the collector against the police attack on an armyman in Himmatnagar. The petition demanded strict action against the policemen who attacked the armyman. The ex-servicemen have demanded that a police complaint be lodged over the incident. At the same time, it should be ensured that the guilty policemen are punished appropriately. The petition has warned that if the army does not get justice, an agitation will be launched across Gujarat. The incident has caused a huge backlash in Surendranagar. The ex-servicemen have termed such behaviour towards the soldiers who serve the country as inappropriate. He has demanded immediate action in the matter.
