The monsoon season is in full swing in Aravalli district. The Vatrak dam has once again overflowed due to heavy rains in uparwas. The Vatrak dam in Malpur taluka is the largest reservoir in Aravalli district. The main level of this dam is 136.25 meters and the rule level is 136.05 meters. At present, 10570 cusecs of water is being generated in the dam. As the water level in the dam rose above the rule level, the administration released 10,500 cusecs of water into the Vatrak river. Villages in low lying areas along the river bank have been alerted by the administration as water is being released.
