In our country, the respect, dignity, and empowerment of women have always been a core part of our tradition. From ancient times to the present day, women have held a sacred and revered place in society. Our ancestors, our culture, and our great kings, such as Lord Ram, prioritized the respect for women and established a strong, respectful tradition that guided the nation in the right direction.
However, amidst this rich history, today we face a tragic, shameful, and concerning reality: our society has reached a point where heinous attacks are being committed against daughters and sisters.
Recently, a heartbreaking incident occurred in Mendarda Taluka, where a 13-year-old girl was raped. This act is considered wrong and unacceptable from both the judicial and human rights perspectives in India. In this case, a charge has been filed against the accused under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, sending a clear and stern message to society that we will eradicate such crimes with disdain and sorrow.
Mr. Mahendra Ailani, President of the Namratagreen Foundation, and Mr. Kamleshbhai Patadiya have demanded the death penalty for the accused. This resolution symbolizes our commitment to putting an end to such horrific and intolerable crimes by imposing strict and historic punishment, ensuring the protection of empowerment and dignity.
In this matter, the Supreme Court and the judiciary require close monitoring. While delivering justice for crimes, such strict punishments and judicial procedures are not only a moral and legal responsibility, but they are also crucial for protecting the fundamental rights of our society, maintaining unity, and ensuring peace. Therefore, providing every citizen of our country full assurance of their safety and dignity is part of the reliable values of society. At every level of society, it is necessary to ensure that every citizen can live a safe and respected life. In all judicial, legal, and moral forms, our country is encouraged to take deeply authentic steps in this direction.
Such laws and ideal actions are only possible when implemented at high levels, but their enforcement must be carried out at the right time, with full punishment and proper resolution.
