On the occasion of International Women's Day, a special training was organized under the one-day Urban Horticulture Scheme at Jamnagar city. In which a special discussion was held on women empowerment in the field of horticulture. About 55 women participated. During the event, the sale of seed packets of vegetable crops was also organized and at the end of the training, each trainee was encouraged by giving a training certificate and a plastic pot. On the occasion of International Women's Day, the office of the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Jamnagar organized a one-day training on the cultivation of vegetable crops at the doorstep under the Urban Horticulture Development Scheme. The training was accompanied by a keynote address by Smt. Jigyasaben Der, Horticulture Officer, Canning as well as detailed information on Micro Greens. Brijeshbhai Horticulture Assistant gave information about the cultivation of vegetable crops at the doorstep as well as pest control. At the end of the training, each trainee was given a plastic pot, a certificate as an incentive. Women grow their own vegetables at home
