As many as 165 motorists have been booked for overspeeding during the operation by the traffic police on the Vadodara highway. There have also been 23 cases on the wrong side.
A drive was organised by the traffic police from Jambua to Golden Chowk on the national highway passing adjacent to the city. A special drive was organized at the end of Jambua River Bridge, Jambua Bridge, Kapurai Bridge, Waghodia Bridge, Ajwa Bridge, Darjipura Bridge and Golden Chowk. Action was taken against motorists who violated traffic rules. There were 165 cases of over-speeding, 23 for wrong side, 15 for lane violation, 20 for using mobile phones in a moving vehicle, 15 for obstruction of parking on service road and 26 for three riders.
