A two-day special campaign was organized in Jamnagar district under the special summary revision programme of electoral roll. A total of 9,725 citizens from all five assembly constituencies of the district enthusiastically participated and submitted their required forms. A total of 9,725 forms have been accepted during the two-day special campaign. The highest number of new voter registration forms have been received. A total of 5,352 applications have been made under Form No. 6 by youth who have completed 18 years of age and have not been enrolled so far. Apart from this, necessary corrections in the electoral roll and change of address in Form No. 8. 3894 applications and Form No. 8 for deletion of names. A total of 479 applications have been received by the Election Commission. Jamnagar Rural received the highest number of 3,483 applications, followed by Jamnagar North (1912), Jamjodhpur (1,444), Kalavad (1,508) and Jamnagar South (1,378). Jamnagar Rural has also been leading in the district with 1886 form in the registration form 6 of the new name. The BLOs worked under the guidance of district collector Ketan Thakkar.
