A unique event was held at the Aga Khan Health Centre in Babra on Sunday. Under the Aga Khan Health Service, a grand gathering of volunteers who rendered their selfless services years ago was held at various centres in Gujarat and Saurashtra. The event was presided over by Ramjanbhai Jivani, former chairman of the institute. Around 100 volunteers from all over Saurashtra and the state, including Surat, Porbandar, attended the event. These were the sevaks who had done the foundational work in the health sector 30 years ago. After years of sailing, there were scenes of joy and emotion in the atmosphere once again meeting old friends. The President of the programme, Ramjanbhai Jivani, during whose tenure these volunteers served, delivered the keynote address. He said that the contribution of these volunteers in the growth of the organization is invaluable. At the end of the program, all the volunteers present were honored with special appreciation letters and gifts to acknowledge their years of service.
