The Food and Kite Festival 2025, organised by the Navsari Municipal Corporation, kicked off at the Sai Garba Ground. Union Jal Shakti Minister and Navsari MP C.R. The festival was formally inaugurated in the special presence of Minister for Tribal Development, Government of Gujarat and Nareshbhai Patel, Minister of Tribal Development, Government of Gujarat. A large number of citizens, families and youth were present on the occasion. The website of the municipal corporation and the 'Navsari Connect' mobile app were unveiled during the event. The app will make it easier for citizens to get information about municipal services. A coffee table book presenting a rich study of the historical, cultural and developmental journey of Navsari was also released. During the inaugural address, Union Minister C.R. Patil stressed on the need to make development, sanitation and water conservation a mass movement. He appreciated the progress made in the field of development, water conservation, and cleanliness in Navsari district. Patil said that this achievement has been possible due to the coordinated efforts of the government, administration and citizens. He added that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi, cleanliness is now becoming a part of people's lifestyle. He expressed the resolve to remain committed to make Navsari one of the cleanest and most tidy cities of the country in the days to come. Folk singer Geeta Rabari's musical rendition at the event became a centre of attraction for the townspeople. Attendees, including citizens, youth and children, enjoyed his folk songs with enthusiasm. District Collector Kshipra Agre, Municipal Commissioner Dev Chaudhary, District Development Officer Pushpalata, Navsari MLA Rakeshbhai Desai along with municipal officials, elected representatives and social leaders were present on the occasion.
