However, even though the stickers have been removed, only digital payments are being made in two-wheeler parking at the airport and cash is not accepted, which is causing resentment among passengers. In the name of promoting digital payments, passengers are questioning what to do if the bank server is disrupted or no one has the facility of online payment, so that the facility of digital as well as cash transactions should be continued. In a conversation with Divya Bhaskar, the Ahmedabad Airport Authority of India (AAI) said, "We will charge an additional Rs 100 from any passenger who pays the parking charge in cash, as we have now implemented such rules at the airport to promote digital payments." The authority further said that earlier when the payment was made in cash, the time used to be wasted by 2 to 3 minutes. Now due to digital payment, the entire process is done in 30 seconds.
