In a conversation with Divya Bhaskar, the Ahmedabad Airport Authority of India (AAI) said, "We will charge an additional Rs 100 from any passenger who pays the parking charge in cash, as we have now implemented such rules at the airport to promote digital payments." The authority further said that earlier when the payment was made in cash, the time used to be wasted by 2 to 3 minutes. Now due to digital payment, the entire process is done in 30 seconds.
