No report was submitted by the committee till the evening of the sixth for the chakdol labor imposed in the Porbandar folk fair, so that it would be difficult to get labor on the seventh day, so the committee members had investigated and given necessary instructions for the labor, but the organizers did not follow those instructions on time. Keeping the safety of the passengers at the Lok Mela paramount, unprecedented strictness is being shown by the administration this year. Even though the initial days of the fair have passed, the fitness report of not a single chakdal or rides could be submitted to the provincial office till the evening of the sixth. This situation has arisen due to the apathy shown by the administrators in following the rules, specific guidelines and instructions were already given by the administration for the labour and management of the chakdol. However, the organisers did not comply with these orders in time. The biggest and most important day of the fair is considered to be the "seventh", in which a huge crowd gathers. But due to this lax policy of the managements, there are big question marks as to whether the chakdol can be started on the seventh day as well. On the issue of labour, Provincial Officer Jadhav said that not a single report of chakdol has been submitted till Wednesday. The committee team conducted a thorough investigation till noon and made suggestions.
The committee for labor had been camping at the Lok Mela ground since Wednesday morning. The team did a thorough physical verification of all the small and big wheels and mechanical rides till noon. During this inspection, several serious defects in the machinery and fitness were revealed, following which the team gave strict orders to the operators to make necessary improvements on-the-spot. Also, the labour report has been delayed due to non-compliance of the instructions made earlier.
