Due to heavy rains and floods, the 330-underpass, which is very important for motorists in Valsad-Khergam taluka, has been closed for the last 15 days due to flood waterlogging. Nearly 10,000 motorists including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, cars, etc. were forced to stop traffic due to the continuous accumulation of foul-smelling water in the underpass. People had to travel 8 km to Valsad via the Gundlav-Dharampur-Kundi highway intersection with large STA vehicles. However, the road of the Chipwad railway underpass was reopened for traffic. In view of this serious problem, members of the Zilla Panchayat, Sarpanches, local leaders came together and presented to the Additional Collector in Valsad to immediately open the road of Chipwad Garnala on a war footing.
