Ahmedabad Water Logging : 1 inch of rain in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad And Gandhinagar Rain:  Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar have been slowly descending since early morning today. People going to work in the morning were in trouble as visibility was reduced due to cloudy weather and fog. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in the city till 10 am and has predicted light to moderate rain

Ahmedabad city started drizzle from late night, which continued till morning. In west Ahmedabad, areas like SG Highway, Thaltej, Pakwan, Sola, Science City, Gota, Bopal, Ghuma and Sarkhej received light to moderate rainfall. On the other hand, all areas of East Ahmedabad like Odhav, Ramol, Vastral, Nikol, Naroda, Narol, Bapunagar, Amraiwadi, Thakkarbapanagar, Hathijan and Hatkeshwar are also receiving continuous rainfall. Motorists slowed down on major roads including SG Highway due to rain and reduced visibility in the morning itself. At the same time, the weather has also changed in the capital Gandhinagar and there has been rain in areas including Sector-3, Sector-4, Sector-5, Sector-6 and Sector-7

Ahmedabad city has received an average of 24 inches of rain so far this monsoon season. Due to the incessant rains, there is a good cooling in the atmosphere. However, motorists have been advised to drive with caution as the roads are damp and visibility is low in the morning.
