AMC School Board elections to be held: 12 members, including Pragnesh Patel, fill forms for BJP chairman, Congress city president also filled forms for membership

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to appoint a new chairman, deputy chairman and members of the school board, for which elections will be held on August 25. For the 12 members of the school board, 12 from the BJP and one from the Congress have filled 13 forms. The BJP has announced Pragnesh Patel as chairman and Ankit Rathore as deputy chairman. Forms of 13 members filled on the last day Mayor Hitesh Barot said that on the last day of filing forms for the 12-member election of the school board on August 10, the forms of 13 members have been filled. All forms will be scrutinised on August 17. Out of the total 16 members of the school board, 12 are from the BJP, 1 from the Congress and 3 from the state government. Out of the forms filled for the school board elections, only one form has been filled for 1 seat in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category. 8 Nomination Forms Filed for 8 General Seats Out of the three seats of matriculation or higher educational qualification, three candidates have filed forms and 8 nomination forms have been filled for 8 general seats. The election will be held on August 25 at the office of Mayor Hitesh Barot and the names of the winners will be announced after counting of votes. It is worth mentioning that since four of the BJP members who filled the forms have educational qualifications of class-8, 10 and 12 passes, how will they contribute to the education of the children of the Town Primary Education Committee? Such a question is being discussed in school board circles.
