Couple dies after being electrocuted while riding Activa, CCTV: Wife trapped in rainwater in Ahmedabad, husband also stuck while trying to save

A major accident took place on Mutton Gali in Narol area of Ahmedabad late last night (September 8). A couple who were travelling on an Activa died after being electrocuted in rainwater filled with a pothole on the road. The couple was passing through 3 feet of rainwater on the road when they were suddenly electrocuted. The husband went to save his wife when she fell. But he was also electrocuted. The CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. They immediately rushed to the spot after informing the fire brigade. Later, the officials of the power company came and turned off the power supply and took them out and shifted them to the hospital through 108, where Ankitaben Rajanbhai Singhal and Rajan Harjivanbhai Singhal were declared dead. The husband and wife were electrocuted and fell down According to reports, Rajanbhai Singhal and his wife Ankitaben Singhal, residents of Rudra Green Flat near Narol police station, were driving an Activa on Mutton Gali Road in Narol on the night of September 8. Locals rushed immediately though the power company officials and the fire brigade were informed as there was an electric current. The fire brigade team immediately reached the spot. The fire brigade rushed the two to the hospital in a 108 ambulance for treatment, but both of them succumbed to their injuries. The bodies of the two were sent to the civil hospital for postmortem. The Narol police have registered an accidental death in the case.
