After the murder of a student at the Seventh Day School in Ahmedabad, the government took over the school. After this, a Class 7 student was allegedly beaten by three other students to break the button on his shirt in an argument that he was a monitor. Questions were raised over the security even though the administration of the school was under the control of the state government and the district education officer. Following the incident, there is a lot of anger among the parents as the education department has stopped the admission process in the new academic session. Middle-class parents have been pushing for the admission of their daughters and other children for the last two months, but as there is no clear answer from the administration, the parents are demanding that the admission be started at the earliest. Some parents also applied for admission in advance
The state education department has put a stop to the new admission process in seventh day schools. However, the new session is also going to start after a few months. However, the parents in the vicinity are not getting any proper answer on whether the admission process will be started or not. Parents whose one or two children study in the seventh day school are also expecting their other children to get admission in the same school. Also, some parents had already applied for admission. As there is no good school nearby, the demand of the parents living in the vicinity
At present, the school is functioning under the administration of the District Education Officer, Ahmedabad city. As a result, there is no need to raise any other question about the safety of the students. As a result, the parents are demanding that if the administration of the school is being run by the education department, new admissions should also be started. So that we can get admission of children in the same school instead of paying expensive fees in any other school. Since there is no other good school nearby, the parents living in the vicinity are demanding that if the admission process in other schools is nearing completion, then the admission process should also be started in the seventh day school as soon as possible. 'We are demanding because the middle class can afford to pay'
Jignesh Chauhan, a parent, said, "My two daughters are currently studying in the seventh day school. One studies in the first standard and the other in the fifth standard. My third daughter was also supposed to take admission in the same school, but there is a lot of trouble as the admission has not started. Because there is no other good school and there is no problem with the fees. So that if my daughter gets admission, there will be no other problem. Because my father is ill. Two daughters study here, so that if the third daughter gets admission here, the cost of transportation will be reduced. We demand that the admission process of the school should be started as the fees can be paid by the middle class.
