After Shah Rukh Khan's 'King', Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome to the Jungle' Dubai shoot cancelled, makers to set up in Mumbai

Amid the Iran-Israel war, there is tension in many countries, due to which the shooting schedule of many Bollywood films is being changed. Recently, the Dubai shoot of Shah Rukh Khan's most awaited film 'King' has been cancelled, which was scheduled to start from April 9. After this, now the shooting of Akshay Kumar's film 'Welcome to the Jungle' in Dubai has also been canceled. According to a report in the Times of India, the film's director Ahmed Khan wanted to shoot a song in Dubai with the entire star cast. The director waited for several days for the situation to improve but then decided to cancel the Dubai shoot. Now he will set up the set in Mumbai instead of Dubai. According to the report, it was not possible to avoid the shoot as the song features a big star cast like Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Shreyas Talpade. It would have been very difficult to get dates for all of these again, so the makers soon had to find another option. According to reports, big sets are being built in different areas of Mumbai such as Mud Island, Golden Tobacco Studios and Film City in Goregaon. The sets are being designed by Shailesh Madik, which will feature high-end locations such as nightclubs, casinos and private jets. According to reports, director Ahmed Khan and producer Feroz A. Nadiadwala wanted to show the song in a glamorous style of luxury lifestyle, so Dubai was initially considered an ideal location. Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited film King was scheduled to shoot in Dubai for a week from April 9. The makers had also taken his permission, but the makers have cancelled the shoot in view of the ongoing tensions in Dubai due to the Iran-Israel war. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the production team. Now the film will also be shot at Vile Parle Studios in Mumbai, where a large set of deserts will be prepared. The multi-starrer film Welcome to the Jungle is scheduled to release on June 26, 2026. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Raveena Tandon.
