Alia Bhatt and Allu Arjun cheated couple in the name of Alia Bhatt and Allu Arjun: Unknown girl lures 6-year-old girl to cast her in an advertisement

Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's daughter Ziva, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt and South star Allu Arjun have been duped by a couple who had gone shopping at Ambience Mall in Gurugram, Delhi. The couple's six-year-old daughter was duped of Rs 32,000 by promising to cast her in a biscuit advertisement. However, when the girl demanded Rs 1 lakh more, the couple suspected that she was cheated. The couple lodged a police complaint demanding refund of the money and legal action against the accused. Pritam Ghosh, a resident of Sector 107, had lodged a complaint with the cyber police alleging that he had gone to Ambience Mall with his wife Ishika Ghosh and their six-year-old daughter a few days ago. Standing near Jamber Restaurant, an unknown girl started talking to him. She introduced herself as Anjali and claimed that she works for 'Kids India Agency' which was looking for children for TV commercials. Anjali fell in love with Pritam's 6-year-old daughter. He said he wanted to cast the girl in a TV commercial. He took Ishika's phone number and then promised to talk on the phone. At around 11.30 pm that night, Anjali messaged Ishika asking for a video of her house and photos of her daughter. Shortly after, he claimed that his daughter had been selected for a TV ad and a photographer would have to pay Rs 32,000 to make a portfolio album. Believing this, Pritam sent the money through a credit card. The couple gave the money without hesitation as they were excited about the opportunity for their daughter by promising to play a role in the Oreo biscuit advertisement. A few days later, Anjali contacted her again and claimed that her daughter has been selected for the Oreo biscuit advertisement. Since the amount was large, Pritam suspected that he had been cheated. Pritam immediately lodged a complaint with the cyber police station East. Police have registered a case of cheating against the unidentified woman and further investigations are on. ACP (Cyber Crime) Priyanshu Dewan said cases of such frauds are on the rise where fraudsters dupe innocent people. People should be wary of such tempting schemes and conduct a thorough investigation before transferring money to any unknown person.
