According to the Indian Navy, this year's Konkan exercise (October 5-12) will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be on the harbour. In which the navies of India and England will meet each other and visit each other's warships.

The sea phase of the exercise will include flying operations including Carrier Strike Group (CSG), anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine drills of both countries. Aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, submarines and fighter jets of both the navies will participate in the drill.

According to the Indian Navy, the Konkan exercise is a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to ensuring safe, open and free seas and will exemplify the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership under the 'India-UK Vision 2035'. According to the Navy, the exercise will prove to be a platform for both countries to strengthen strategic relations and enhance inter-operability as well as provide regional maritime stability.
