Secretary-in-Charge, Amreli Sandeep Kumar meets officials: Sustainable Development Goals for Developed Gujarat@2047 discussed

A meeting of district coordination officers was held at Zilla Seva Sadan under the chairmanship of Amreli district in-charge secretary Sandeep Kumar. The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing activities in the district under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Developed Gujarat@2047. 'Viksit Gujarat@2047' will prove to be a growth engine for realizing the dream of 'Viksit Bharat@2027'. The state government is working rapidly in the areas of health, education, infrastructure and coastal area development. Prior to the meeting, in-charge secretary Sandeep Kumar visited primary health centres, nandghar-anganwadis and primary schools at Chavand and Babra in Lathi taluka. He inspected the health facilities, education system, and mid-day meal arrangements. He then guided the officers to move in a specific direction to achieve the goal of 'Viksit Gujarat'. He gave necessary directions to the District Coordination Officers to proceed with advance planning and achieve the set targets within the time frame by performing well in Amreli District in a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals. NITI Aayog works as an important think tank in the central government. The Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) is released by the NITI Aayog. The index measures performance across various indicators, including health and education. Secretary-in-charge also directed to take up targeted progress in various indicators of the index in Amreli district as well. The meeting was attended by District Development Officer Parimal Pandya, District Police Chief Sanjay Kharat, Resident Additional Collector Dilipsinh Gohil, Survey Provincial Officers and officials of various departments.
