'Mahila Karmayogi Diwas' was celebrated at Ambalal Balshala Meeting Hall as part of Nari Vandan Utsav in Anand. The event was inspired by the Commissioner Women and Child Development Department and organized by the office of the District Women and Child Officer, Anand
Maheshbhai Patel, Campus Director, Charutar Education Society and Nileshwariba Gohil, District Women and Child Officer, delivered keynote addresses. He highlighted the importance of Mahila Karmayogi Diwas. Later, Gender Specialist Hitesh Kumar Rohit gave detailed information about women-centric schemes such as Ganga Swaroopa Aarthik Sahay Yojana, Ganga Swaroopa Remarriage Aarthik Sahay Yojana, Mahila Swavalamban Yojana and Dear Daughter Yojana. Apart from this, Ripalben Dabhi, Centre Manager, Sakhi One Stop Centre, provided guidance about Sakhi One Stop Centre and Police Station Based Support Centre (PBSC). Resource Person Mittalbhai Kadia explained the genesis, implementation and details of the law under the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2013. At the end of the program, PBSC Councillor Shabnamben Khalifa thanked everyone present. The event was attended by staff from the office of the District Women and Child Officer, DHEW staff, PBSC counsellors, OSC staff, teachers and a large number of women.
