Ganga water level in Bihar is the highest in 10 years: 6 lakh people affected by floods, rains in UP for next one week; Rivers in MP overflow

18 districts of Bihar are in the grip of floods. More than 6.65 lakh people are affected. The Ganga broke a 10-year-old record at Gandhi Ghat in Patna. On Saturday, the water level here reached 50.57 meters. In 2016, the maximum water level at Gandhi Ghat was recorded at 50.52 meters. In Madhya Pradesh, many rivers, including Narmada, have become Ganditur. The gates of Bargi, Bhadbhada and Kaliasot dams have been opened. A strong system will be formed in Gwalior-Chambal, Sagar today. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in these areas. The state has so far recorded more than 30 inches of rainfall. There is a rain alert in 18 districts of UP on Sunday. As many as 3.53 lakh people in 26 districts are affected by the floods. It may rain in the state for the next 1 week. On the other hand, the first snowfall of the season occurred in Kashmir on Saturday. Fresh snowfall occurred in Sunshine Peak in Gulmarg and Kaobal Gali in Tulel Valley of Bandipora district.
