A controversy has arisen over the administration of the ancient Baliadev temple near Dashashwamedh Ghat in Bharuch city. The oldest trustee of the temple had filed a complaint in the court of the joint charitable commissioner of Surat after he was declared dead and made some new trustees. In this regard, the court has issued a notice to hear the matter on April 2. According to the complaint, Ashwin Master, the oldest trustee of the Baliadev temple, had filed an application with the Bharuch Charity Commissioner's office to include the names of Nimesh Naveen Chandra Rana, Haresh Dahyabhai Rana, Ramesh Mohanbhai Rana and Jitendra Bhagwatlal Modi as new trustees in the temple trust. The application was accepted and new trustees were added. The new trustees have appointed a new priest in place of Bhagat Singh Parmar, who is currently serving as a priest at the temple. Ashwin Master had complained to the court of the Joint Charitable Commissioner of Surat that new trustees were made without his permission even though he was alive. On the basis of the documents and evidence presented in it, the present Charity Commissioner has stayed the verdict. The matter will now be heard on April 2.
