As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) University's NSS The NSS cell organized a grand 'tree plantation' programme in the university campus. The event was graced by Prof. It was held under the guidance of Dr. Inderjit Patel.
On this occasion, the Provost Prof. Dr. Inderjit Patel said, "Conservation of nature is creation of tomorrow. It is the moral duty of all of us to leave the gift of clean air, water and a healthy environment for the coming generations", he said. He added that it is not our responsibility just by planting a sapling, but preserving it till it becomes a complete tree is true service to the nation. If we save nature today, only then tomorrow nature will protect humanity. In this green drive, the top officials and officials of the university enthusiastically participated and gave the message of conservation of nature. Shri Bhikhubhai, Hon'ble President, CVMU appreciated this commendable activity and congratulated the entire team. President Shri Bhikhubhai emphasized the importance of environmental protection and said that the University is fully committed to making more concerted and concerted efforts to preserve the environment and increase green cover in the times to come. The event was attended by Provost Prof. (Dr.) Dr. Inderjit Patel, Deputy Registrar. Dr. Yashesh Tailor, Deputy Registrar (Academics) Drishti Bhatt, Dean IQAC, Accreditation and Rankings Dr. Darshak Desai, Controller of Examinations Prof. Vaibhav Patel, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology. (Dr.) Other senior officials of the university including Amit Ganatra actively participated and planted trees. The entire programme was successfully conducted by Shri Kartik Jagtap, NSS Programme Coordinator. Apart from this, various colleges run by CVM University also celebrated the festival at their respective institutional level and planted trees.
