The Thakor community of Banaskantha, Vav, Tharad and Patan districts organized a grand 'Sambhidean Mahasammelan' today (January 4) at Ogaddham (Ogadji's Thali) in Deodar taluka. The main objective of this conference is to formulate and implement a modern and comprehensive social constitution for the Thakor community of North Gujarat. In this conference, as many as 16 diverse issues like social reform and eradication of evils will be discussed in depth. For the last 15 days, representatives of 27 talukas of these districts, social workers and religious leaders have come together to draft the Constitution.
